Every worship service at St. Paul’s is the product of loving service by dozens of committed Christians who use their talents in proclaiming the glory of God. Creating meaningful worship requires a great diversity of gifts, and therefore a great diversity of people.

It’s also an ideal way for a newcomer to help the church as he or she grows spiritually from the experience of helping.

We gather people in a number of so-called Sub-ministries, each with a specially designated leader. They include:

Music (Larry Cook): Adult and youth choirs enhance worship and special services;
Altar Guild (JoAnn Summey): Women and men oversee the necessary arrangements for services;
Ushers (Jim Edwards): Assist in seating, receiving offerings, and distributing leaflets and books;
Acolytes (Keith Calder): Young people and adults serve the clergy around the altar;
Eucharistic Ministers (Herb Gant): Mature adults help distribute communion at services;
Eucharistic Visitors (Gordon Keifer): Carry communion to those who are absent from services;
Bread Bakers (Harold Wade): Bake communion bread;
Flower Guild (Cheryl Wagoner): Beautify the church with floral gifts;
Readers or Lectors (Herb Gant): Read lessons and prayers during worship services;
Weddings (Glenn Davis): Make arrangements for nuptials; and
Funerals (Herb Gant): Help families and friends at funeral services.
