Paul's J2A group brought this back from one of their travels to

Ministerial Programs for Children, Young Adults,
and Adults
A
Children's Chapel program provides the opportunity for young people to
explore the lectionary
text of the week in story-form. Additionally the children learn
the words of the hymns and experience their own social time together
before joining their parents in Church for The Eucharist.
Among
the many opportunities for children the Sunday School and the Youth
Choir are the most important. Other activities include the Blessing of the Animals, Advent wreath making,
the
Christmas Pageant and an Easter Egg Hunt have become traditional.
The Episcopal Young Church people (EYC) and
Journey To Adulthood (J2A) programs provide junior-high and adolescent
young people the opportunity not only to socialize with their peer age
but also to participate as full members of the Church through serving as
Acolytes, ushering, participating in the Choirs, providing Shrove Tuesday
pancake suppers and Easter hunts. The J2A group has made
pilgrimages to Italy and Greece and brought back from one of their trips the
beautiful hand-painted gold-leaf icon for the Parish Hall.
The Parish members comprise a spectrum of ages
whose diverse interests range from attending the regular organ,
chamber and choral concerts and neighborhood social get-togethers, to
enthusiastic participation in various choral musical groups, actively
serving in a variety of liturgical functions, or ministering through social
out-reach and lay-visitation with the sick, the needy, and our elderly. Bible study and theological and inspirational reading and discussions,
helping with the marvelous constant offerings of wonderful food at
the church, and even maintaining and enhancing the church gardens
and physical faculties are all attractive possibilities. In the Anglican Tradition, truly “the Church is
the (activity of) the people of God.”
