The St. Paul’s Ministries

  Pastoral Care

   By Larry Wright

Larry Wright

Jesus calls us to care for the sick, orphans, widows, and persons in need. Each of the services within Pastoral Care fulfills this command.

In order to identify those within our Parish or who are close to our Parish family, Elaine Francis at efancy2@aol.com should be contacted about those in need of pastoral care and will disseminate the information to the Rector and others in the Parish who provide visitation and other services for these individuals.

Lay Eucharistic Ministers and those in our Hospital Ministry take the sacraments to the sick and shut-ins and visit those who are in hospitals and nursing homes. Herb Gant at herbgant@bellsouth.net leads this ministry.

Jesus calls us to care for the sick, orphans, widows, and persons in need. Each of the services within Pastoral Care fulfills this command.
Intercessors provide prayers for members’ needs and personal issues, and pray for the church and the priest. Contact: Suzanne Joyce at tjoyce@bellsouth.net.

Prayer Shawl ministry is a group of individuals who meet to knit and crochet prayer shawls for blessing and distribution to the sick and shut-in. The contact person is Elaine Francis at efancy2@aol.com to learn more about this activity.

Lay Visitors visit the sick and the shut-ins. Please contact Seton Chamberlin at setondevida@yahoo.com.

Helping Hands provide meals and comfort to the sick and the bereaved and make available information about community services and organizations that can be of assistance to them during their times of need. St. Agnes Guild is the primary contact for this in times of need and particularly in times of bereavement.

The Card Ministry under the leadership of Elaine Francis and MJ Giammaria at mjgiammaria@yahoo.com ensures that all who are in need receive messages of care and concern.
