Profile of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church
Founded in 1858 and located in the fast-growing coastal NC city of Wilmington’s downtown, St. Paul’s Episcopal Church offers traditional Anglican services in its splendid high vaulted-ceiling Gothic-revival church, with a large Parish Hall, abundant offices and classrooms, and a gymnasium.
With its excellent acoustics and two organs, the Church is known among the eight Episcopal Churches for celebrating numerous high-quality musical programs in the classical church music tradition under the direction of a Ph.D. Organist ⁄ Choirmaster. Many newcomers are initially drawn to the church by these musical offerings.
Other ministries, besides the broad spectrum of musical programs enthusiastically embraced by the parish, include various
age-specific interests, outreach, and interfaith hospitality, as well as visitation and communion of the elderly.
