Profile: St. Paul’s Episcopal Church
Founded in 1858 and located in the fast-growing coastal NC city of Wilmington’s downtown, St. Paul’s Episcopal Church offers traditional Anglican services in its splendid high vaulted-ceiling Gothic-revival church, with a large Parish Hall, abundant offices and classrooms, and a gymnasium.
With its excellent acoustics and two organs, the Church is known among the eight Episcopal Churches for celebrating its numerous high-quality musical programs in the classical church-music-tradition under the direction of a Ph.D. Organist/Choirmaster. Many newcomers are initially drawn to the church through these musical offerings.
Other ministries besides the broad spectrum of musical programs enthusiastically embraced by the parish include various age-specific interest, outreach and interfaith hospitality, as well as visitation and communion of the elderly.
