and gardens including the Bellamy Mansion and Arlie Gardens, colorful events such as the North Carolina
Azalea Festival, the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher, and the Battleship USS NORTH CAROLINA,
the State's memorial to its World War II veterans and the 10,000 North Carolinians who died
during the war.

The area also offers fine dining and three adjacent beaches including
Wrightsville Beach with average summer temperature in the 80s and
winter temperature in the 50s.

The area attracts not only many retirees, but also boasts southeastern NC’s major medical
center, the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, and several high-tech
industries including: GE nuclear and aircraft engines, PPD pharmaceutical research, AAI Pharma
development, and Corning’s LCD panel production. All these factors
combine to make this coastal area a very desirable place to live or visit.
